DIMC Modules Coursehttp://www.basics-scotland.org.uk/news/news.php?id=16Tue, 24 Jan 2012 UTCDiploma in Immediate Medical Care Preparation Programme

The DIMC examination is held in Edinburgh by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The Examination is open to registered doctors, paramedics and nurses. The programme presented here has three purposes. Firstly to give you an insight to the exam so that you can decide if you would like to enter. Then there are a series of revision modules linked to the present examination syllabus. Then finally if you are to sit the examination a series of modules to polish your examination technique.

This programme is not a substitute for other reading or clinical practice but is designed to support your preparation for the DIMC.

The programme has two opening presentations that are open to everyone. If you wish to go ahead there is a small fee by way of a donation to BASICS Scotland and some forms to complete. You will then have access to the system.  The structure has four main chapters – the Library which contains useful papers and other documents – the core Modules – a Discussion Board and finally Examination Practice.

This programme tries to support your preparation for the examination as well as challenge your thinking and clinical practice. Your feedback is always welcome and indeed is crucial to the future development of the programme.
