Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Brian Carlin, the Assistant Director of Education for BASICS Scotland, in conjunction with Lojigma International Ltd, have developed a set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of a one piece suit and waterproof jacket. The PPE was not only developed to meet the needs of BASICS providers to allow them to ensure their own safety at any incident, but also to have a uniformed and professional image to compliment the Sandpiper Bag when working at an emergency medical scene.

BASICS Scotland members can save £20 on the cost of the “one piece suits”, which is water repellent. The jacket is fully waterproof and breathable, made with a CROSSTECH® fabric lining which is a viral barrier providing superior liquid resistance against blood and body fluids as well as meeting the High Visibility requirements of EN 471.
