As well as being involved with BASICS Scotland since 1993, Colville has been a GP in Auchterarder for the past 26 years during which he has been actively involved in immediate care and holds the Fellowship in Immediate Care from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Colville is also actively involved in the Sandpiper Trust and is an Associate Editor of the Emergency Medicine Journal.
Brenda joined BASICS Scotland in October 2009 as Assistant Director of Education and her main role is to work on and develop Immediate Medical Care Education and Training with BASICS Scotland and manage delivery of courses throughout Scotland. Graeme joined BASICS Scotland in April 2012 in the new post of Sandpiper Fellow to direct courses alongside the Director of Education and Assistant Director of Education. Since joining BASICS Scotland in 2003, Fiona has been an active instructor and is now the Clinical Educational Developer for BASICS Scotland. Outside of BASICS Scotland, Fiona is an Associate Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and has a keen interest in emergency medicine, pre-hospital trauma and life threatening illnesses as well as pre-hospital education. When not in work, Fiona enjoys spending time outdoors cycling and walking.
Mike has been involved in BASICS Scotland since 1998 as he has a keen interest in pre-hospital care as well as snow sports sports injuries and ski patrol medicine. Mike is an immediate care GP in Aviemore which supplies him with plenty of ski related injuries. Outside of work, Mike enjoys snow sports as well as mountain biking and diving
