Courses

For over 18 years BASICS Scotland has provided a wide variety of courses aimed at the pre-hospital emergency care provider/responder in Scotland.

Our courses are of the highest quality; evidence based and are taught by multi disciplinary experts.

What courses do we offer?

We offer Immediate Medical Care and Emergency Medicine Courses, as well as courses summatively assessed by ALSG (PHPLS, HMIMMS,MIMMS and GIC) and RCS Edinburgh (PHEC)

Who can attend?

Courses are open to doctors, registered paramedics, nurses and Resuscitation Training Officers. Unfortunately we cannot offer places to Community First Responders, Ambulance Technicians or First Aiders as they would not be registered to put the skills learned on the course into practice.

 Feedback

We are an EPASS provider for all our courses and welcome feedback from our participants.

We ask participants to complete hard copy feedback for both BASICS Scotland and RCGP (EPASS scheme) on our courses. We also encourage anyone to submit anonymous feedback should this be relevant via the EPASS system www.rcgp-scotland.org.uk/epass as we do take note of what participants say.
